Individual Behavior Change Plans

Chapter 10 of the course text describes a detailed method for dealing with chronic behavior problems: developing individual behavior change plans for students. This process involves a series of steps through which teachers can engage in data collection to identify, monitor, and analyze behavior. Teachers then work with the student and others, using the data to develop a plan for improving the disruptive behavior. For this Discussion, think about how you could have used these techniques to deal more effectively with a severe or chronic behavior problem you have encountered in the past. Analyze your current approach from the following perspectives:
